Golf Opportunities

For over 40 years, Royal Palm Golf Club has maintained a tradition of offering quality, championship golf. Our newly renovated 18-hole golf course offers tees for every player ability level where Members enjoy unlimited tee times and can either walk or ride the course. Each year, the Golf Committee publishes a schedule of competitive golf events for men, women, and couples culminating with the annual Men’s and Women’s Club Championships.  The 188-acre golf course was originally designed by David Wallace in 1976 and a small renovation/redesign was completed in late 2000 by Gordon Lewis.  In 2019 the Club finished a full-scale course renovation with the help of Ron Garl Golf Design and Total Golf Construction.  The renovation included a complete regrassing of all 18-holes and the practice facilities with Bimini Bermuda for the tees, fairways, and rough and TifEagle for the greens.  The extensive renovation also involved hole redesigns, new bunkers, new irrigation, new cart paths, and upgraded and expanded practice facilities.

Men’s Golf

During Season, a Men’s afternoon sign-up game is played Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. These games are open to all golfers across various tees. Member-organized games are scheduled throughout the week. The Golf Shop works with new Members to quickly integrate them into the various playing options according to their interest.</br></br> During the Summer, the Men’s sign-up games move to Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning. Again, these games are open to all handicap levels. There also is a Friday “Men's Summer Interclub” for members that provides an excellent opportunity to test your game on other courses and play golf with members from several area golf clubs.

Women’s Golf

There are two golf associations for women at Royal Palm, the 18-Hole Women’s Golf Association and a 9-Hole Ladies’ Golf Association. Each association has a variety of scheduled events from November through April, including themed tournaments and guest days. These two associations go out of their way to welcome new members and integrate them into their respective associations. The 18-Hole Women’s Golf Association has a weekly association game on Thursday mornings. The 9-Hole Ladies Association has a weekly association game on Friday mornings and alternates between the Front 9 and Back 9.</br></br> While formal golf association activities end in April, there is ongoing golf activity for women during the summer months. From May through October, women golfers organize informal play during the week either at our home course or at one of the many reciprocal courses. There also is a Friday “Ladies Summer League” for 18-hole women players that provides a wonderful opportunity to experience other courses and play golf with women from several area golf clubs.

Couples’ Golf

Pub Night & Twinite Golf will happen certain afternoons throughout the winter season. It is a 9-Hole golf event for both men and women to compete in a FUN format. Tee times start at 3:00 pm. Following 9-Hole play, awards will be presented during a Pub Night in the Clubhouse.</br></br> Couples 18-Hole golf events, including guest days, are scheduled on Sundays and certain Holidays during season. Held either in the morning or afternoon, these are events always followed by awards and a special social event in the Clubhouse.
